Deontae Flood is a self-taught pastry chef who stumbled upon this career by accident. In need of additional income to get through school while pursuing a degree in marketing, Flood began baking cakes to sell around campus. The response was so positive, he quickly became the go to for baked goods.

 

From banana puddings to cheesecakes, Flood would sell out daily as demand increased. Soon after, King Flood Desserts was formed and he quickly began receiving orders for special events and more.

 

Since King Flood Desserts inception in 2018, Flood has sold over 10,000 units while obtaining his Bachelor of Science Degree in Integrative Studies with a minor in marketing.
